Lesley Crompton is the Head of Resolution Services at the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) and a qualified Chartered Trading Standards Practitioner. Lesley oversees frameworks that enhance consumer protection and business accountability: the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Scheme and the Approved Code Scheme (ACS) and the work of the UK International Consumer Centre (UKICC).

The ADR Scheme provides consumers with fair, low-cost alternatives to the court system, strengthening ties between traders and the public. The ACS is the “gold standard” for business behaviours regarding consumer redress and support. The UKICC is a specialist team that provides vital support to UK consumers navigating cross-border disputes.

A frequent CTSI representative at national forums, Lesley is dedicated to ensuring consumers have access to support, that businesses operate on a level playing field and can grow and contribute to the economy. As a former Trading Standards Officer, Lesley has been recognised for her contributions to the profession in her work with vulnerable consumers and victims of financial abuse.
