Directions to The Langdale

Sat Nav - Postcode = LA22 9JD / The Langdale Estate. The Langdale Estate, Great Langdale, Nr Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 9JD

Please note: When following your Sat Nav from Ambleside, do NOT follow directions through Elterwater Village. Continue past Elterwater Village (on your left) towards Chapel Stile Village, we're on the left.

From the South

Leave the M6 at Junction 36 - signed posted A591 South lakes. Follow this route (by-passing Kendal) past Windermere and on towards Ambleside (approx. 11 miles).

Turn left at the traffic lights on to the A593, signposted Coniston. Follow the road to the rugby, turn left over a narrow bridge (signposted Langdale, Hawkshead & Coniston), continue on the A593 for approx. 3 miles.

At Skelwith Bridge Hotel, turn right on to the B5343, signposted Langdale. Continue for approx. 2 miles, go over cattle grid, and continue straight (ignoring left turns to Elterwater). The Estate is a short distance ahead on the left.

From the North

Leave the M6 at Junction 40, take the A66 towards Keswick. Turn left via the B5322 on to the A591, past Grasmere to Ambleside.

Follow the one-way system through Ambleside and turn down the slip road on the right just before the traffic lights on to the A593 alongside the lake.

Follow the road to the rugby ground, turn left over a narrow bridge (signposted Langdale, Hawkshead & Coniston), continue on the A593 for approx. 3 miles.

At Skelwith Bridge Hotel, turn right on to the B5343, signposted Langdale. Continue for approx. 2 miles, go over cattle grid, and continue straight (ignoring left turns to Elterwater). The Estate is a short distance ahead on the left.

Arrival at Langdale & Parking

For those staying over, for check in, upon arrival, please go straight to the main reception on your right-hand side as you enter the estate. The reception team will show you were to park near your hotel room.

For those attending the conference only, please drive straight ahead, passing the Brimstone Hotel on your right and park in the main car park on the left-hand side near Stove Restaurant.

Arriving by Train

The nearest train station to Langdale Estate is Windermere station. The nearest mainline West Coast Railway is Oxenholme Station with connection by train to Windermere. Taxis may not always be available outside the stations so booking in advance may be a good idea or arrange to be picked up by another attendee.

It is also recommended you pre-book your return journey to the train station from Langdale in advance if you know your train times.

Networking Dinner - Tuesday 21st April 2026

For those travelling from away and staying overnight at The Langdale Hotel, EUROC has arranged for a meal and informal networking get-together in the Stove Restaurant. The tables are booked for 8pm with a complimentary welcome drink (wine, beer or soft drink) in the bar area from 6.30pm. EUROC will provide the welcome drink however, any other drinks for the evening will be at your own expense and charged to your room.

Conference Room at The Langdale

• Our conference will be held in the Partners Conference Room which is located on the main floor by The Stove Restaurant and Bar area.

• Conference Times: 9.30am – 4.00pm with registration, refreshments & networking from 8.30am - 9.30am

• Please note that registration and welcome refreshments open at 8.30am with the conference starting promptly at 9.30am so please do allow yourself enough time to get to the venue.

• There will be tea and coffee networking break mid-morning along with buffet lunch around 1.00pm. Times may vary. Our speakers will finish shortly after 4pm with optional networking available until 5pm. This will also allow those with travel arrangements and long journeys to get away a little earlier if needs be.

Coat Rack & Luggage area

There will be a coat rack, and an area set aside for any luggage storage on the day of the conference. The conference room is only in use for EUROC on the day however, you may prefer to speak to the main reception upon check out to see if they have somewhere to store luggage.

Dietary Requirements

Please let EUROC know by Tuesday 31st March 2026 if you have any specific food allergies or dietary requirements.

Dress Code

The dress for the conference is informal, smart casual. We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable.

Hotel Cancellation policy

Please note that The Langdale Hotel cancellation policy and charges will apply for those that have booked a hotel room via EUROC.
